So, things have been going REALLY well diet wise. Monday was my indulge day... seeing as I had a piece of cheesecake and a glass of Mascato. I havent been the best about logging it, cause I can't text at work. But either way... It's the workouts that have made this week... FUNtastic.
Tuesday- 30 min ab workout (AM)
Wednesday- 1 hour freestyle gym (PM)
Thursday- 20 min Eliptical (AM) and 1 hour Zumba
I love ZUMBA... I was so glad to find it here.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Brianna took this picture. She's so talented. |
Well, folks, when I decide to cut calories, I usually decide to cut one other thing... my hair. Yeah, I know some of you think its crazy. You may be wondering why. Honestly, it has more to do with the hard water here drying my hair out than anything. But, everytime I do it I feel more free... more ready to take on the world. Knowing that I am strong enough and confident enough to wack my hair off and keep it moving... is like an energizer. Does everybody like it? No. But that's not what matters. What matters is that I can get my workout on without worrying about sweating out my perm or missing up my do. I can get up and go to work without spending 30 minutes on my hair (which means more time for the workout). I love being foot loose and fancy free.

Weighing in at...
This is were I'm at Now. It feels good to be making some headway. I still have 25 lbs to lose on my mental weight loss meter. Of course, if I get there and go... Oh, my goodness I need to make a change, I will. But I'm soooo optimistic. I've lost 34lbs already, I can lose it again.
Back and Better Than Ever
So, I was gone for a minute, but I'm back now.
For those of you who don't know I moved back to Florida to be closer to my family. I've been here for about a month and half. And it's taken some getting used to. Initially I was eating what they were eating, staying at home trying to get things in order, and rest from the hectic days of traveling and unpacking. I wasn't getting my regular workouts in. I was also eating out with my husband alot (trying out all of the fine Keys cuisine and a few cocktails as well). And, the beat all, they don't have a Family Y within 20 miles of here. :o(
So, last Sunday morning I got up and stepped on the scale. It read 190.7lbs. Back in the 190's... Oh, Heck No! That was the turning point. I went shopping for all the healthy fair I needed to get myself back on track... fresh fruits and veggies, chicken breasts, tofu, salmon, rice cakes, and almonds. Every morning I have a Shakeology Shake (a healthy meal replacement or snack provided by my Beach Body Coach) for breakfast. I started taking salads and grilled chicken for lunch everyday. Dinners are much of the same: steamed or raw veggies; chicken, tofu, or fish; and some complexed carbohydrate like brown rice. I have 2 snacks a day and 1 dessert is allowed (I Love Weight Watcher's ice creams). And that's my diet. Oh... I almost forgot... Lots and Lots of water.
And as for exercise, I had been walking/jogging about 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks, but this week I turned it up a knotch. I've gone to Karate and worked myself into a wrestling training session on a couple of evenings. That's all due to the fact that my brother is a martial arts instructor and has his own dojo. Plus I still do my walk/ jogs and throw in a little dance fitness in the morning when I wanna switch it up. I feel so much better after I work out. That's why I love working out right when I wake up. It helps set the tone for my entire day.
Well, folks, there you have it. That's me getting it back together... Relocated.
